Our Process

Consultative Wealth Management Process

At Connor Capital Management, our process embodies our pledge to you: We go beyond a mere asset allocation strategy and offer a consultative approach which seeks to establish an ongoing partnership with you geared toward developing strategies for your evolving objectives and needs.

Discovery Meeting

The discovery meeting is when we learn about you and your family. We ask a lot of questions and carefully listen to your answers. It's an opportunity for us to discover and understand your hopes, dreams, concerns, and your most important values. It's also an opportunity for you to ask questions about our services and practices. If we are in mutual agreement about moving forward, we would collect the necessary documents and information and schedule the next meeting.

Planning Meeting

At the planning meeting, we work together, using the information gathered at the discovery meeting to develop a complete diagnostic of your financial situation and present a plan for achieving your financial related goals. To achieve long term success, any investments you make must be tied to the goals you are trying to achieve. We will determine where you are now, where you are trying to get to, and identify any gaps along the way. At this planning stage we will test out various alternatives and variables to arrive at a plan that will meet your objectives. This will all be done through a collaborative effort with you to insure commitment to your investment plan.

Implementation

If gaps are uncovered in the planning process, we will offer solutions to help you close those gaps. Written implementation instructions are offered with each financial plan we create. You have the option to implement the plan on your own or have us do it for you.

Regular Progress Meetings and Ongoing Monitoring

If you chose to work with us as your investment manager: At regular progress meetings we report to you on the progress you are making towards achieving your goals and check in with you on any important changes in your life that might call for an adjustment to your investment plan.  In addition, at the first regular progress meeting...if applicable, we will present to you an advanced plan—a comprehensive blueprint for addressing your advanced planning needs that has been developed in coordination with a network of professionals. At subsequent progress meetings, we work together to decide how to proceed on specific elements of the advanced plan.  In this way, over time, every aspect of your complete financial picture is effectively managed.
